Women’s Breakfast Report

Following a delicious breakfast, we welcomed Jo Mote, who provided a deeply personal and profoundly moving testimony around Matthew 8:26 “you of little faith why are you so afraid?” Jo shared how she has had to learn to trust in the Lord through some difficult and dark times and she knew that he was there for her to shoulder the storms. Her faithfulness and incredible trust in Jesus was evident. Jo reminded us not to underestimate the power of being surrounded by loving caring people in times of need and how a simple kind word, gesture or prayer can sustain us, as it sustained her. With sensitivity, Jo assured us that if we find ourselves in a situation too vast or deep to deal with, we can give it over to God – He is able to handle it and His timing is perfect. We can trust in Him completely: He’s got this, He’s got you. What an encouragement!

Our next breakfast is 1st of November.

Women’s Breakfast Report May 2025

It was lovely to welcome Chris Smith to our delicious women’s breakfast. Chris shared with us how as a young child she prayed for Jesus to come into her life and stay in her life. He answered that prayer – and knowing Him remains her greatest joy! She spoke around Psalm 28 verse 7, which flowed into a testimony that was both spoken and sung. Chris related her faith journey to an elastic band: when she strayed, God always pulled her gently back to Him, by placing Christian people around her and providing her with opportunities to play music in a Christian setting. It was a delight to hear her playing worship songs that were of particular significance to her, and allow us join in. She has been given the gift of music and uses this praise the Lord in a special way.

Our next breakfast is on July 5th.
Please come along and bring your friends!
