“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.” 2 Corinthians 8:9
One of our aims as a church is to be defined by grace. As God has been generous with us so we want to be generous towards one another. Generosity is so much more than giving away some money but it is certainly not less than this. The truth is that our church costs money to run and a large proportion of the ministry we provide involves significant human resources. If you feel that you benefit from the ministry of the church please share with us in the cost of providing this ministry so that we can continue to build up and support Christians in Barnston and Pensby and reach out to our community with the good news about Jesus Christ.
The very best way to help us to budget and plan for the future is to give by standing order. Standing orders help us to know with greater certainty what our income will be on the basis of regular and steady payments. The Coronavirus situation has shown how giving on the plate is an unpredictable and unreliable means of giving. If you have a bank account, standing orders are the simplest and most efficient way to give. A standing order provides you with control over your finances and it is completely safe and secure.
To set up a standing order, please print off this form, fill it in, and send it to our treasurer: Bob Jarvis, 85 Barnston Road, Barnston, Merseyside, CH61 1BW.
Since many people have been unable to make donations over the past few weeks we have also set up an online giving system through the Church of England, which again is completely secure.
If you would like to make a one off donation, please follow this link, which will take you to a secure third party website, where you can make your donation.
Thank you for your partnership in the gospel!
