Women’s Breakfast Report
We warmly welcomed Karen Soole to our Women’s breakfast on Sat 27th June and enjoyed our usual fellowship together over a delicious breakfast.
A number of us who attended the Northern Women’s Convention in September enjoyed hearing Karen speak again, this time on Prayer. In her usual accessible style, Karen took the verse in Romans 12:12 as the theme for the day: ‘Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer’. She encouraged us to engage more with Jesus through His word and to turn to talk with him in our everyday, helping us to see prayer as an essential part of life and likening it to “breathing out and breathing in”. Many were helped by the idea of linking our prayers to verses from the bible.
We are very grateful to Karen for providing us with rich encouragement and for being willing to speak personally from her own life.
