Women’s Breakfast Report
With a great turnout and delicious food, we welcomed Stella Jones to our Women’s breakfast. With a gentle warm approach, Stella spoke around Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
It was good to be reminded that when we have fears and anxiety, we can hand these over to Jesus. He will hold them captive for us.
He is our light. With the smallest chink of light, he provides hope in times of darkness. He is our stronghold – our strength in weakness. Stella reassured us that he is always here for us through life’s ups and downs, and we can trust in his love.
We thank Stella for providing us with such encouragement.

Men’s Breakfast 21st March 2026

Bill Bygroves is an evangelist minister and serves as the chaplain for Liverpool Football Club, a role he has held for many years. In this role he offers pastoral care, counselling, and prayer support to individuals within the club, fostering a supportive environment. Before his chaplaincy, Bill had a promising football career, having signed with Liverpool FC. However, a serious injury ended his playing days. He is actively involved in LFC’s community initiatives, including the Red Neighbours’ programme, which addresses social issues in Anfield. He is also a director of “Caring for Life,” a charitable organisation based in Leeds that supports vulnerable individuals through housing and community projects.

Women’s Breakfast Report
We welcomed Sarah Cannam, who spoke around Ephesians 2:10, describing her journey of recognising and responding to God’s call to care for the homeless in Chester. It was very moving to hear how her faith intertwines with her job as a GP. Sarah acknowledged that no courses can provide the strength and resilience needed for her role. It comes instead from the Bible. She reminded us that Jesus always looked out for those on the edge or outside of society. Sarah also gently encouraged us to remember that, by God’s grace, we are all given gifts to help us live the lives that He has planned for us. What an inspiring and thought-provoking talk!
