| Groups and activities Many Church members and visitors take part in regular activities and group meetings. These include
- Contact, which has a programme for younger women. Some Contact events are thought-provoking; some are purely social.
- Alpha is a twelve-week introduction to Christianity, and a great way of meeting people in Church. See the separate Alpha page.
- Meeting Point is for over-50s. It meets on 1st and 3rd Tuesday each month, 10.30am in the Pensby Church Centre. Meeting Point has a programme of interesting speakers. Tea and conversation is also an important part of the meeting.
- Little Tugs
is for infants and toddlers with a parent or carer. Games,
activities, story and song, and refreshments... The group meets in
Pensby Church Centre on Monday mornings, 9.15-11.00am.
- The Internet Cafe is
intended for non-experts, introducing them to computers, email etc.
Training and support is given. Meets in Pensby on Monday afternoons.
Numbers strictly limited, so advance booking is needed.
- The Mothers Union
brings together some of the most committed and prominent women in the
Church family. New members always welcome - men too, in these
enlightened times! Mothers Union meets in Pensby at 2.15pm on the 2nd
Wednesday of each month, and at 10.30am for corporate Communion on the
3rd Wednesday.
- Evening Mothers Union - a new group for the slightly younger ones - more details to follow
- Messy Church - for primary school children with parents or carers - 4th Tuesday in the month 3.30 - 5.30 pm at Pensby.
- House Groups
meet throughout the area, usually on the second, third and fifth Wednesdays each month. Group members study
the Bible and learn to pray together. Sometimes, the groups also
work together on tasks such as leading intercessions in Church, or
providing meals for Alpha.
- Centre point is
the central prayer meeting which meets at St Michael's the first
Wednesday of each month - starting with tea or coffee at 7.45 pm.
