The Alpha CourseAccording to the last Census, 70% of people in this country describe themselves as "Christians". However, many people find that Christianity raises as many questions as it answers. Alpha provides an opportunity to find out about Jesus and Christian faith. For many people, Alpha is the opportunity to encounter God in a new way.
Alpha is the world's best-known introduction-to-Christianity course. Each of twelve weekly meetings starts with a meal. This is followed by a short presentation, and then discussion. The meeting lasts for two hours.
Since 1999, this parish has joined other local churches in running regular Alpha Courses. Hundreds of local people have now enjoyed the Alpha experience.
